Welcome to Ashby Big Weekend, presented by REALFest CIC, a Community Interest Company who consist of the organisers below. The event is a not-for-profit created for the benefit of Ashby de la Zouch and the surrounding areas. The event is funded through the ticket sales, stall holders and any grant support we are able to obtain.


At Ashby Big Weekend, we are passionate about showcasing the incredible talents and skills of our local community as well as bringing some talented people from further afield. From musicians to artists and artisans, we provide a platform for individuals and groups to share their expertise and passion on a big stage setting.


Our vision is to create a legacy of a community festival that unites the people of Ashby and the surrounding areas, and welcome visitors from further away of course! We aim to put Ashby on the map, boost trade in the town centre, and support local businesses for the overall economic growth of our community.


Months of careful planning and dedication go into creating an unforgettable experience at Ashby Big Weekend. We invite you to come and support us, creating cherished memories and enjoying the festivities with people of all ages. There's something for everyone to enjoy!

The company was founded in 1974 by Ronnie Allen who had a background in electronics and radio and television engineering.


Today, the company is still owned and run by Ronnie and his family - ensuring that the high standards of product knowledge, customer service and technical ability that Ronnie set from the outset are consistently applied on every job - whether it's supplying a single microphone and a projector to a local meeting or managing a global product launch in front of tens of thousands of people.


With more than 25 years' experience in electronic engineering, Radar Events Services can design build and install its own custom-made systems as well as being completely familiar with all mass-produced systems.
